Qasr Al Hallabat Jordan

fortresses situated over the desert in Jordan. Most of the remaining castles are situated

One of them is the
Hallabat Castle originally a Roman castle built under Emperor Caracalla to guard
its residents from Bedouin tribes.

The castle shows it
was built between 2nd and 3rd AD, although a Nabatean
presence is evident at the site.

The complex includes the Castle, a mosque, a large reservoir, cisterns, agricultural enclosure and a bath house.
